Flooring Since 1981
Flooring Is Where
Flooring Is Where
We Began
Carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, tile and stone, chosen in our two flooring galleries or in your home, and installed by professionals.
Our Story
From a 1,000-square-foot store to Alabama's largest carpet and rug showroom
Steve Issis started selling flooring straight out of Ensley High School in 1979, going door to door and working local markets. With his father, Odeh Issis, he opened the first Issis & Sons storefront in Pelham: 1,000 square feet and a staff of two who did the hands-on work themselves.
The Pelham gallery now runs to more than 100,000 square feet, and in 2000 we opened a 22,000-square-foot gallery in Greystone for customers along Highway 280. The motto has not changed: always take care of the customer.
